Felix was born in Molfetta, Puglia, in 1973 and after several experiences in great gourmet italian restaurants and abroad, he was mentioned for the first time by the prestigious Michelin star in 2011.

Refined style, always playing between creativity and research, Felix makes quality and respect for raw materials his starting point. His cuisine, originally from the sea, it has evolved and shaped in the mountains, and as sophisticated and elaborate as it is, yet it maintains strong anchors to tradition and Italian flavours.

In 2016 he opened “Ristorante Felix Lo Basso” in Piazza Duomo in Milan, and in 2018 “Ristorante Memorie di Felix Lo Basso” in Trani (Puglia). Both restaurants received the prestigious Michelin star award.

At the end of 2020 Felix opened his new “home”: the “Felix Lo Basso Home & Restaurant” in Milan, the only new Michelin star 2022 in Milan, whose creative concept is an evolution of “fine dining”, removing the barriers between him and the diners, thus encouraging conversation during the service, while his art is expressed by presenting a constantly evolving surprise tasting menu.

The Best Chef Awards 2022 have decreed Felix Lo Basso among the 100 best Chefs in the world. His latest challenge in 2024 was to open his new restaurant in Lugano, Switzerland, to be precise in Sorengo, with the same exclusive proposal of Chef’s home table with 12 intimate seats. Felix has been Ora King Ambassador for last 4 years now and one of his signature dish is Ora king marinated with orange and beetroot, served with sour cream and crunchy fennel.
