A native of Velbert, Germany, Sascha is Executive Chef in his family company, the one Michelin star Haus Stemberg. With extensive experience and training at numerous notable and Michelin star restaurants including Hotel Paradis Mauritius and Confiserie Maushagen in Düsseldorf, Sascha is also qualified as an IHK Instructor and a member of the IHK examination committee. He is also a proud Member of JRE (Jeunes Restaurateurs d‘Europe) since 2009.
Sascha has had an extensive range of television appearances since 2004, and regular writes columns on Sunday, Gastrotel and other magazines. In partnership with his father, Walter, he has published 33 cookbooks, and his recipes appear in Port Culinaire and Die See 1.
Together with his wife Coren (and two young children), Sascha is proudly in the fifth generation to run Haus Stemberg, which can trace its origins back to 1864. He loves to extend the warm hospitality Haus Stemberg is known for, excellent cuisine, attentive service and the casual generosity of the family-run traditional hotel.
